When’s the Right Time?

September is National Preparedness Month, and we’re in.

Ok, you don’t think this whole preparedness thing applies to you. The earth won’t shake while you’re here. No storms will affect your house, your car, or your life. The best one: everyone else will take care of you. Hmm. You may be right, and you may win the lottery, but the odds are not in your favor.

Here’s an easy place to start: talk with your family, even if it’s to get confirmation of your beliefs that nothing will happen and you’ll be fine. You may not need to have a way of finding everyone when phones are down and the lights are out, but it’s an easy thing to talk about. You know, just in case.
